Her musical artistry has taken her to stages across the globe, including a multi-year tenure on prestigious cruise ships where she performed to massive crowds of thousands, and showcasing major U.S festivals like CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference, Folk Alliance International, Americana Festival, SXSW, FairWell Festival and Kerrville Folk Festival as well as Internationally at the Your Roots are Showing in Ireland and Cali Blues and Folk festival in Colombia. Rachel has been featured in the Bluegrass Situation and American Blues Scene for her ability to fuse soul, folk, and blues within her music. She is also a member of the Black Opry for which she has received national attention from Good Morning America and The Washington Post.

Beyond the music, it’s the impact of it all that Maxann strives for. Its present in everything she does, from her work as a therapist and activist to the music she makes and the people she inspires along the way.

“After a cruise, the parents of a little girl who would come to all of my shows and follow me around everywhere sent me a picture of their daughter with a tiny little guitar and microphone. They said she hadn’t stopped playing since they got home. I think that’s the best compliment I’ve ever received.”
