Rachel Maxann is an integrative Folk and Americana singer-songwriter whose music blends soul, blues, and raw storytelling rooted in lived experience. Drawing from her own life as well as dual career in therapy, Rachel brings a deep emotional intelligence to her songwriting, exploring themes of identity, resilience, and human connection. Her powerful vocals and thought-provoking lyrics reflect a commitment to using music as a tool for healing, advocacy, and social change.
Her musical journey has taken her to stages across the globe, including a multi-year tenure on prestigious cruise ships where she performed to massive crowds of thousands, and showcasing major U.S festivals like CD Baby’s DIY Musician Conference, Folk Alliance International, Mile of Music Festival, Americana Festival, SXSW, FairWell Festival and Kerrville Folk Festival as well as Internationally at the Your Roots are Showing in Ireland and Cali Blues and Folk festival in Colombia. Rachel has been featured in the Bluegrass Situation and American Blues Scene for her ability to fuse soul, folk, and blues within her music. She is also a member of the Black Opry for which she has received national attention from Good Morning America and The Washington Post.
Rachel is a multi-instrumentalist who is always seeking new ways to express herself in music. Though her first instrument was the piano, she later found her voice in guitar, bass, banjo, and ukulele.
Beyond the music, it’s the impact of it all that Maxann strives for. Its present in everything she does, from her work as a therapist and activist to the music she makes and the people she inspires along the way.
